Photo: JAMESONSPHOTOGRAPHY<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He said the change of venue from the Steampacket Gardens on the Geelong Waterfront to the Western Oval in North Geelong might be the reason for the numbers boost.<\/p>\n<p>McDonough said the event had partnered with the Geelong West Cricket Club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it will be a long-term home for us down the track&#8230; having it at a nice oval has certainly been more attractive to people,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/03\/DSC03045_17608.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"655\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Geelong Gift 2024 at Geelong Waterfront.
