ONE of Geelong’s top foodie fundraisers returns next week in a bid to raise vital funds for the Barwon Health Foundation.<\/p>\n

Geelong’s Longest Lunch will be held on Friday, March 21 at Transvaal Square on the Geelong Waterfront.<\/p>\n

The event will see guests treated to four courses from the region’s top cheffing talent.<\/p>\n

Participating chefs donating their time include Daniel Brehaut from The Davidson, Mike Jacques from TARRA Queenscliff, Chris Hudich from The Wharf Shed, Cory Hyde from 1915, Eli Grubb from new restaurant The Woolstore and Chris Hassan from Meredith Hotel.<\/p>\n

The afternoon will also feature live entertainment, welcoming tunes from The Piano Bar and drinks.<\/p>\n

Mr Brehaut said the lunch was a top event on the Geelong calendar.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been involved with this for 20 years or more. I love doing it because I feel like I’m giving back to the community.<\/p>\n

“Every year is fantastic. Everyone has always been amazed at what the chefs come up with.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully the weather will be perfect on the day and we can all share these amazing dishes.”<\/p>\n

Since its inception, the event has raised over $500,000 in support of Barwon Health.<\/p>\n

Barwon Heads Foundation executive director Zoe Waters said it would again be a truly remarkable day.<\/p>\n

“[It’ll] be filled with laughter, exquisite food, and unforgettable moments, all in support of a cause that matters.<\/p>\n
