{"id":112207,"date":"2025-03-16T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-03-15T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=112207"},"modified":"2025-03-15T09:38:46","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T22:38:46","slug":"cats-vfl-vflw-fixtures-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/sport\/cats-vfl-vflw-fixtures-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Cats VFL\/VFLW fixtures released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GEELONG&#8217;S VFL and VFLW sides will feature in several blockbuster matches throughout their respective 2025 seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The AFL released the full schedule for Rounds 1 to 13 of the VFL and Rounds 1 to 9 of the VFLW earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>The Cats will kick off their VFL season against Sandringham at Trevor Barker Oval on March 23.<\/p>\n<p>Following this, Geelong will head home for three straight matches at GMHBA Stadium between round two and four.<\/p>\n<p>Its Round 3 clash in particular will be eye-catching as they take to the field against Casey at 3:50pm before the AFL team do battle at 7:40pm.<\/p>\n<p>After its round six bye, Geelong returns home to play GWS as a curtain raiser to the AFL.<\/p>\n<p>The Cats will then play two more home games against Gold Coast and Brisbane at GMHBA Stadium before its Round 14 bye.<\/p>\n<p>Matchups for Rounds 14 to 21 have been announced, however venues and times are to be confirmed later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The rebel VFLW competition will kick off for the Cats on April 19 against Box Hill Hawks.<\/p>\n<p>Geelong will play its first two games at its Deakin University home-base, before an away trip to Williamstown in round three.<\/p>\n<p>Sandringham awaits on May 10, followed by a trip out to Port Melbourne on May 17.<\/p>\n<p>Geelong will then clash with Essendon at Deakin Universaity in round six, before three away games against Darebin, North Melbourne and Carlton.<\/p>\n<p>Rounds 10-14 of the VFLW have also been announced, but venues and times for those rounds will be confirmed later.<\/p>\n<p>The top six teams on the ladder will qualify for the VFLW final series.<\/p>\n<p>Entry to VFLW matches is free.<\/p>\n<p>VFL matches if ticketed, are $10 for adults, $5 for concession holders and children enter free.<\/p>\n<p>AFL ticketing prices apply for VFL matches played as curtain-raisers and curtain-closers to AFL matches.<\/p>\n<p>To view the full fixtures, head to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afl.com.au\/vfl\/fixture%20and%20afl.com.au\/vfwl\/fixture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">afl.com.au\/vfl\/fixture and afl.com.au\/vfwl\/fixture<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GEELONG&#8217;S VFL and VFLW sides will feature in several blockbuster matches throughout their respective 2025 seasons.
