GEELONG United has added an important piece to its women’s roster for the 2025 NBL1 South season.<\/p>\n
United has signed former WNBL development player and now defunct Melbourne Boomer Lilly Rotunno.<\/p>\n
Rotunno last suited up for Keilor in 2024 and averaged 6.92 points, 3.04 assists and 1.52 steals per game.<\/p>\n
The point guard comes highly recommended by United’s Women’s National Basketball League head coach Chris Lucas.<\/p>\n
“Lilly’s a terrific young talent, but even better person,” Lucas said.<\/p>\n
“She fits our Geelong culture – An extremely hard working developing point guard who wants to get better and will put in the work to prove her game.”<\/p>\n
Rotunno said she looked forward to joining a team stacked with WNBL talent.<\/p>\n
“I’m super excited to join Geelong for the upcoming NBL1 season,” she said.<\/p>\n
“We have an extremely talented roster, along with great coaching staff who I’m keen to work with.<\/p>\n
“With this group I believe we can be a championship winning team.”<\/p>\n
