{"id":112782,"date":"2025-03-30T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-03-29T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=112782"},"modified":"2025-03-27T12:39:03","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T01:39:03","slug":"car-showcase-to-celebrate-100-years-of-ford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/car-showcase-to-celebrate-100-years-of-ford\/","title":{"rendered":"Car showcase to celebrate 100 years of Ford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 10,000 people are set to enjoy a full-throttle day out next weekend to celebrate Ford&#8217;s 100th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s largest single-make display, the All Ford Day will take place on April 6 at Eastern Park.<\/p>\n<p>The event will celebrate 100 years since the production of the first &#8220;Dalgety&#8221; Model T&#8217;s in the Dalgety wool store.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1,500 cars will be on display, with everything from vintage pre-war automobiles to modern performance vehicles, muscle cars, trucks and hot rods.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/03\/tickets_hero-1024x57_58541.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">More than 10,000 people are set to head to Eastern Gardens next weekend for All Ford Day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 1977 Bathurst winning Ford coupes number one and two will be exhibited for the first time together in Geelong.<\/p>\n<p>Event secretary Chris Sager said excitement was at fever pitch for the event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All Ford Day is like being dipped in family and shaken vigorously. I just love it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The amount of people who&#8217;ve worked across Ford. It&#8217;s enormous. For us it&#8217;s about celebrating what we achieved.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got the Dalgety T&#8217;s, the Ford Heritage collection and so much more.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2025\/03\/entriesnowopen_18781_63298.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Club and judged entries have closed for the All Ford Day, but general registrations remain open.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from special guests including V8 supercar drivers and Ford designers.<\/p>\n<p>Food vans, trade sites, and family friendly activities will compliment all the revving action.<\/p>\n<p>Judging will also be conducted at the All Ford Day, with trophies on the line for best in class across a variety of categories.<\/p>\n<p>Club and judged entries have closed, and more than 1,500 entries are expected.<\/p>\n<p>General car registrations are open until the morning of April 6 or until sold out.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, email <a href=\"mailto:chris@allfordday.org.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chris@allfordday.org.au<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 10,000 people are set to enjoy a full-throttle day out next weekend to celebrate Ford&#8217;s 100th anniversary.
