{"id":114198,"date":"2025-05-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=114198"},"modified":"2025-05-01T14:09:56","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T04:09:56","slug":"all-australian-cast-brings-peppa-pig-to-the-stage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/living\/all-australian-cast-brings-peppa-pig-to-the-stage\/","title":{"rendered":"All-Australian cast brings Peppa Pig to the stage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>An all-Australian cast will present <em>Peppa Pig&#8217;s Fun Day Out LIVE!<\/em> with Zoe Crisp (<em>Avenue Q, We Will Rock You<\/em>) cast as Peppa Pig in the nationa tour, which comes to Geelong tomorrow (Saturday, May 3).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Australian premiere follows a smash hit season in London&#8217;s West End, and is the first time Peppa Pig has graced Australian stages since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the multi-talented cast includes Adelaide-trained and Melbourne-based Romy Juliette Glass (<em>Legally Blonde<\/em>; Universal Studios Singapore roles) as Daisy; Perth-raised and Brisbane-trained Maddison Price (Queensland Pop Orchestra, QPAC&#8217;s <em>The Wizard of Oz in Concert)<\/em> as Suzy Sheep; Melbourne&#8217;s Jake Waterworth (Tigger in <em>Disney&#8217;s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation<\/em>) as Danny Dog.<\/p>\n<p>Joining them are Sydney-raised and Melbourne-based Zuleika Khan (<em>Paw Patrol Live, Offspring, Please Like Me<\/em>) as Mummy Pig and Miss Rabbit; Jacqui Dwyer (<em>Disney&#8217;s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Adaptation<\/em>) from the Blue Mountains as George; with Daddy Pig played by Newcastle-born Benjamin Richards (<em>Heathers, Cry Baby)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Crisp grew up watching the Peppa Pig TV show with her twin brother in West Leederville, Perth.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/MaddisonPrice-Benja_80706.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Maddison Price, Benjamin Richards and Jacqui Dwyer are part of the cast of Peppa Pig&#8217;s Fun Day Out LIVE!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My brother and I related very much to Peppa and George&#8217;s sibling relationship.
