{"id":116648,"date":"2025-06-28T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=116648"},"modified":"2025-06-27T15:40:04","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T05:40:04","slug":"matchday-magic-up-for-grabs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/matchday-magic-up-for-grabs\/","title":{"rendered":"Matchday magic up for grabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Gordon TAFE is partnering with the Geelong Cats to offer previous students the chance for an unforgettable AFL matchday experience.<\/p>\n<p>Those who have studied at The Gordon can go in the running for a VIP footy experience on July 20 at the Cats vs St Kilda Game at GMHBA Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>One lucky winner will receive the honour of tossing the coin, a place in the guard of honour, and an exclusive dining experience for them and a friend at the President&#8217;s Function.<\/p>\n<p>Five runners-up will also join the guard of honour and welcome the Cats onto the ground.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_164330\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-164330\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-164330\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/0T2A5277_26716.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-164330\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Past students are encouraged to enter the competition by sharing their own journey.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is more than just a competition; it&#8217;s a celebration of our alumni&#8217;s achievements and their ongoing connection to The Gordon,&#8221; The Gordon chief executive officer Joe Ormeno said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re proud to partner with the Geelong Cats to offer this unique opportunity, highlighting the diverse paths our graduates have taken since their time at The Gordon.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our alumni are a testament to the transformative power of vocational education.
