AFL BARWON’S Female Festival of Sport Breakfast is on Friday, July 4, at 6.45am at Geelong West Town Hall.<\/p>\n

It will be a morning dedicated to celebrating, recognising and empowering women and girls in sport across the Barwon region.<\/p>\n

Hosted by former Australian Diamond and elite netballer Madi Browne, the event will bring together local sporting clubs, community leaders, athletes, schools, and the wider public to shine a light on the contributions and achievements of females in sport at all levels.<\/p>\n

Browne has just become Torquay’s head coach in BNL netball after moving to the town in October last year.<\/p>\n

This year’s line-up of guest speakers includes Torquay Netball Club’s Meagan Mifsud, Geelong United basketballer Jaz Shelley and Geelong VFLW coach Taylah Hassett.<\/p>\n

Shelley, a vice-captain, was the People’s Choice Award winner at United’s presentation night earlier this year.<\/p>\n

“Join us for a powerful morning of networking, storytelling, and inspiration as we champion the future of female participation in sport,” AFL Barwon stated.<\/p>\n
