{"id":117762,"date":"2025-07-22T04:00:36","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T18:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=117762"},"modified":"2025-07-17T16:21:44","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T06:21:44","slug":"country-music-heads-to-torquay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/living\/country-music-heads-to-torquay\/","title":{"rendered":"Country music heads to Torquay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nashville country musician Jackson Dean is heading down under for his <em>On The Back of My Dreams<\/em> world tour with performances across metro and regional areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of his tour, Dean will play some of his biggest venues yet, including a stop at the Torquay Hotel on October 8.<\/p>\n<p>The American made his mark on the music scene in 2022, when he was compared to the likes of Chris Stapleton upon the release of his breakout single <em>Don\u2019t Come Lookin\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The release had multiple weeks at #1 on the Australian Country Radio Chart, was the fastest debut to reach No 1 in the US, and featured in TV series <em>Yellowstone<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Dean\u2019s debut album Greenbroke followed the single, before he hit the tour circuit on the Brooks &amp; Dunn\u2019s Reboot 2022 Tour.<\/p>\n<p>His return to the stage in 2025 coincides with the release of his most recent album, <em>On the Back on my Dreams<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Joining him on tour is Australian musician Austin Mackay who has a strong stage presence and has captivated audiences around Australia with a sound that blends melodies with country.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his career, Mackay has supported the Dreggs, Brad Cox, Thirsty Merc, Max McNown and more.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past three years, the musician has taken to stages in Australia and New Zealand, playing sold-out shows and cultivating a strong following on Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>For tickets and more information, head to <a href=\"http:\/\/frontiertouring.com\/jacksondean\">frontiertouring.com\/jacksondean<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nashville country musician Jackson Dean is heading down under for his On The Back of My Dreams world tour with performances across metro and regional areas.
