COMEDY favourites, new up and comers and plenty of homegrown talent are locked in to appear at the third annual Geelong Comedy Festival later this year.<\/p>\n

Across four days (October 30 to November 2), Geelong will host over 100 shows in every style imaginable \u2013 from sharp stand-up and musical comedy to improv chaos, late-night variety and family-friendly fun.<\/p>\n

Audiences can look forward to a stacked program in spaces including The Geelong Club, Beavs Bar, The Nash, Geelong Arts Centre and Medusa.<\/p>\n

On headlining duties are comedy favourites Tom Ballard, Dilruk Jayasinha, Dave O’Neil, Takashi Wakasugi, Donna Collins, Firdi Billamoria, Sam Hargreaves and many more.<\/p>\n

Alongside the big names, the festival will also shine a light on Geelong’s own vibrant comedy scene, featuring local artists such as PJ White, The Laughter Party and Tyson Popplestone.<\/p>\n

Festival co-director Blaise White said the event’s mission was simple \u2013 fill Geelong with art and laughter.<\/p>\n

“This festival is about activating spaces across central Geelong and turning them into hubs of creativity and connection.<\/p>\n

“For one long weekend, the whole city becomes a stage \u2014 whether it’s a historic gaol, a cosy pub, or a black box theatre, you’ll find a room full of people laughing together.”<\/p>\n
