Three Geelong Cats have earned a place among the AFL\u2019s elite, named in the 44-player squad for the 2025 All Australian team.<\/p>\n
Star forward Jeremy Cameron, midfielder Max Holmes and recruit Bailey Smith are all in contention for the final 22 to be revealed this Thursday, 28 August, at the AFL Awards.<\/p>\n
Cameron, a four-time All Australian, produced a powerhouse season up forward, slotting 83 goals across 23 matches and averaging 7.9 score involvements per game. He remains one of the league\u2019s most dangerous key forwards.<\/p>\n
Midfield dynamo Max Holmes has surged into the squad after a breakout year, averaging nearly 27 disposals and 10 contested possessions per game. It\u2019s his first selection in the 44-player squad, following an extended squad nod in 2024.<\/p>\n
New Cat Bailey Smith has also impressed since joining Geelong, leading the squad in disposals with 31.7 per game and dominating clearances and inside 50s. His form has added a vital layer to the Cats\u2019 midfield depth.<\/p>\n
The squad announcement reflects a strong season for Geelong\u2019s top tier, with all three players pivotal in the club\u2019s finals push.<\/p>\n
The All Australian team, chosen as if to play a real match, is selected by a panel of former greats and AFL figures, including Nathan Buckley, Abbey Holmes and Kane Cornes.<\/p>\n
The final 22-player team will be announced during the AFL Awards ceremony on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n
