I even loved the hungover flights the next morning (maybe not as much),\u201d Illy said of his capital city tour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow that we\u2019ve got a taste for it, I am ready and counting down the days \u2018til the <em>Good-er Life Tour<\/em> starts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re the most locked in we\u2019ve been in years on stage, and when we\u2019re in this mode, no one does it better. Get involved, see you there. Can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fans can expect a high-energy set featuring a mix of Illy\u2019s chart-topping anthems \u2014 think <em>Tightrope, Exit Sign and Papercuts<\/em> \u2014 and fresh material, including the four new tracks included on <em>Good Life (Deluxe Edition)<\/em>: acoustic versions of <em>Kids<\/em> and <em>Good Life<\/em>, standalone 2023 single <em>Hopeless <\/em>and new track <em>Free Hand<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Illy, the moniker of Australian rapper Alasdair Murray, emerged onto the hip hop scene in 2009, quickly building a reputation for his ability to seamlessly blend pop and hip hop.<\/p>\n<p>Illy\u2019s 2016 project <em>Two Degrees<\/em>, featuring multi-platinum collaborations with Vera Blue (<em>Papercuts<\/em>) and Anne-Marie (<em>Catch 22<\/em>), delivered his first ARIA #1 album, success he repeated in 2021 with <em>The Space Between<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>With an ARIA Award for Best Live Act also under his belt and festival slots at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival and Spilt Milk, Illy\u2019s Torquay performance is set to be a major highlight for local music fans.<\/p>\n<p>Illy will play the Torquay Hotel on October 17.<\/p>\n<p>For tickets, head to<a href=\"http:\/\/torquayhotel.com.au\"> <strong>torquayhotel.com.au<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MULTI-PLATINUM, ARIA Award-winning artist Illy will bring his explosive live show to Torquay this October as part of his Good-er Life Tour.
