After the final siren, footy\u2011goers can head home on added trains from Southern Cross at 6.00pm, 6.20pm and 9.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>These services come on top of the regular 20\u2011minute frequency on the <a href=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/geelong-line-ramps-up-for-cats-finals-campaign-at-the-g\/\">Geelong Line ramps up<\/a>, giving fans more options to avoid the stress of traffic and parking.<\/p>\n<p>V\/Line has urged passengers to plan ahead and allow plenty of time to soak up the pre\u2011match atmosphere in the city.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson said fans travelling from regional Victoria can connect seamlessly with Metro Trains for the final leg to the MCG.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPassengers can travel between Southern Cross and the MCG on a Metro service to either Jolimont or Richmond stations,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>Full service details and travel information are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vline.com.au\/Timetables\/Footy-services\">V\/Line website\u2019s dedicated footy page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional V\/Line services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday Grand Final Parade:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Waurn Ponds departures: 7.47am, 8.05am<br \/>\n\u2022 Southern Cross returns: 2.42pm, 3.02pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday Grand Final Day:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 South Geelong departure: 8.37am<br \/>\n\u2022 Waurn Ponds departures: 9.51am, 10.31am<br \/>\n\u2022 Southern Cross returns: 6.00pm, 6.20pm, 9.30pm<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Footy fever is set to hit Melbourne this week, and V\/Line is rolling out extra services to help Cats and Lions fans get to the action.
