A burnt-out car greeted Armstrong Creek residents early this morning, after a suspicious blaze in local bushland.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to reports of a car on fire near the intersection of Warralily Boulevard and Charlemont Road at about 5.30am this morning.<\/p>\n

Two CFA units from Grovedale and Connewarre attended the scene alongside FRV and Victoria Police.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On arrival, crews found the vehicle well alight and immediately began suppression efforts, but the car was completely destroyed in the blaze.<\/p>\n

The incident saw Charlemont Road closed in both directed to traffic, with the blaze deemed under control at 5.40am and declared safe at 5.51am.<\/p>\n

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.<\/p>\n
