However, her devotion hasn’t come cheap. Trish estimated she’s spent tens of thousands of dollars over the past 15 years attending shows.<\/p>\n
Having attended so many performances, Trish now keeps a handwritten record of every one \u2013 complete with dates, venues, and seat numbers \u2013 tracking shows from across Australia and around the world.<\/p>\n
Her dedication has taken her far. In\u202f2019, she drove 12\u202fhours solo to the ABBA Festival in Trundle,\u202fNSW, and in\u202f2023, she embarked on a one-week European ABBA adventure.<\/p>\n
“I flew to London and saw ABBA\u202fVoyage\u202ftwice, Mamma\u202fMia! the\u202fMusical at the\u202fNovello Theatre, Mamma\u202fMia!\u202fthe\u202fParty at the\u202fO2\u202fArena, then flew to Stockholm and went to the ABBA\u202fMuseum \u2013 all in seven days including the flights.”<\/p>\n
Living with early\u2013stage osteoporosis, Trish said movement was key.<\/p>\n
“I need to keep moving so that I can keep driving and attending Mamma\u202fMia\u202fMusicals,” she said.<\/p>\n
ABBA remains central to her life. One tattoo reads “I\u202fhave\u202fa\u202fdream” with “ABBAsession” underneath \u2013 a tribute to a moment from\u202f2015 she described as deeply personal.<\/p>\n
