She has spent 25 years working as a food stylist for major publications, with her work also featured in leading design magazines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_177508\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-177508\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-177508 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-18-at-2.56.39-am-722x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"851\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-177508\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A cucumber found at a music festival has been reimagined as a hummingbird. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The body of work evolved while Clauzon was living in France during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was cooking, and I was just using a garlic head, and I had just taken the cloves out, and I was holding this garlic head and I thought &#8216;My God, that looks so beautiful \u2013 it looks like a flower&#8217;,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>She took a photograph and the project quickly developed from there.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was just trying to picture vegetables, but in a different way to give them a different soul\u2026to make them alive and show them in a totally unexpected way,&#8221; Clauzon said.<\/p>\n<p>Clauzon often sources produce from local markets, particularly organic vegetables with unusual shapes, or what she describes as &#8220;personality&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_177510\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-177510\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-177510\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-18-at-2.57.20-am-733x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"838\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-177510\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A kohlrabi braves the depths of the ocean, reborn as a jellyfish. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s like having a piece of a puzzle. You start with one piece and then you add another one. You don&#8217;t exactly know what the next piece is going to be, but you build something little by little,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Her work recently gained national attention when her &#8220;dancing leeks&#8221; photograph appeared on the cover of the Sydney Morning Herald&#8217;s Good Weekend magazine.<\/p>\n<p>Clauzon said her coming Queenscliff exhibition, which will open at the Old School Hall in Learmonth Street on January 7, was suitable for both adults and children and encouraged visitors to spend time engaging with the images.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Adults say [the vegetable series] awakens the child within,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I think this is what I want to give to people \u2013 just see things differently.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The free exhibition, titled A Visual Feast, will run from Wednesday, January 7 until January 14.
