Three people, including two children, were injured in a crash at a busy Torquay intersection on Thursday that prompted a large emergency response.<\/p>\n
The collision occurred at the Surf Coast Highway and Blackgate Road intersection shortly after 9am, with Ambulance Victoria, the CFA, police and Fire Rescue Victoria called to the scene.<\/p>\n
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics assessed and treated multiple people following the crash.<\/p>\n
Two school-aged children and a man were transported by road to Geelong University Hospital with non-life-threatening upper-body injuries.<\/p>\n
They are in a stable condition.<\/p>\n
A CFA spokesperson said four units responded to the incident.<\/p>\n
They arrived to find a person trapped in one of the vehicles.<\/p>\n
While working to free the individual, a small fire started in the car, which a was quickly contained.<\/p>\n
