	{"id":127069,"date":"2026-02-14T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=127069"},"modified":"2026-02-11T23:55:41","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T12:55:41","slug":"in-cog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/living\/in-cog\/","title":{"rendered":"In Cog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AUSTRALIAN progressive rock trio Cog will bring their latest tour to the Bellarine this autumn, with a Barwon Heads performance confirmed as part of an expanded national run.<\/p>\n<p>The band will play the Barwon Heads Hotel on April 25, one of eight additional dates added to the outfit&#8217;s 2026 headline tour.<\/p>\n<p>The shows celebrate the release of Walk the Line, the group&#8217;s first single since 2019, and will feature a mix of new material alongside songs drawn from across the band&#8217;s catalogue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/573170873_1836180870_78061.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The feedback and response we&#8217;ve had so far to Walk The Line and the upcoming shows has been fantastic,&#8221; vocalist Flynn Gower said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It makes us feel so good to know that people are enjoying what we&#8217;ve put so much time and love into.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cog \u2013 comprising Flynn and Luke Gower and Lucius Borich \u2013 formed in the late 1990s and built a following through early independent releases, including Psuedo and Just Visiting, before breaking through nationally with 2005 debut album The New Normal.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/588665121_1836757418_78020.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cog formed in the late 1990s and built a following through early independent releases before breaking through nationally with 2005 debut album The New Normal.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The record marked the Sydney-based act as a major presence in Australia&#8217;s progressive and alternative heavy music scene.
