AUSTRALIAN progressive rock trio Cog will bring their latest tour to the Bellarine this autumn, with a Barwon Heads performance confirmed as part of an expanded national run.<\/p>\n

The band will play the Barwon Heads Hotel on April 25, one of eight additional dates added to the outfit’s 2026 headline tour.<\/p>\n

The shows celebrate the release of Walk the Line, the group’s first single since 2019, and will feature a mix of new material alongside songs drawn from across the band’s catalogue.<\/p>\n

“The feedback and response we’ve had so far to Walk The Line and the upcoming shows has been fantastic,” vocalist Flynn Gower said.<\/p>\n

“It makes us feel so good to know that people are enjoying what we’ve put so much time and love into.”<\/p>\n

Cog \u2013 comprising Flynn and Luke Gower and Lucius Borich \u2013 formed in the late 1990s and built a following through early independent releases, including Psuedo and Just Visiting, before breaking through nationally with 2005 debut album The New Normal.<\/p>\n

The record marked the Sydney-based act as a major presence in Australia’s progressive and alternative heavy music scene. The gold-certified Sharing Space followed in 2008.<\/p>\n

National touring and festival appearances at Big Day Out, Falls Festival and Homebake \u2013 including shows alongside Silverchair and Grinspoon \u2013 helped cement Cog’s reputation as a compelling live act, before the band took a five-year hiatus early last decade.<\/p>\n

They returned in 2016 for a sold-out reunion tour and have since released a series of singles including The Middle, Altered States and Drawn Together, leading into their latest track Walk the Line, which reflects on life as a working musician.<\/p>\n
