FORMER AFL Victoria administrator and Anglesea footballer Ayden Gras has joined AFL Barwon ahead of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old will take on the role of operations coordinator within the football department.<\/p>\n
A product of the region’s local football pathway, Gras played junior football with St Joseph’s before continuing his senior career at Anglesea.<\/p>\n
He brings experience from AFL Victoria, where he worked across football operations and administration, contributing to the delivery of state-level programs and competitions. He has also developed organisational and customer service skills through his time with Cotton On.<\/p>\n
In the role, Gras will assist with key football operations, including competition administration and management across leagues.<\/p>\n
AFL Barwon head of football, Sarah Naylor, said the appointment strengthened the organisation’s capacity to support clubs, volunteers and participants ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n
“His combination of local football experience, time within AFL Victoria and a strong professional background makes him a great fit for this role. He understands community football and the importance of supporting clubs at every level,” she said.<\/p>\n
Gras said he was pleased to return to the region in a professional capacity.<\/p>\n
“Having come through the Barwon pathways and played locally, this role is something I’m really passionate about.<\/p>\n
