A new 400-lot housing development in Corio<\/a> will officially launch land sales later this month, with a sales information event to take place tomorrow (Saturday, 14 March).<\/p>\n

Somerley<\/a>, by Cedar Woods Properties, aims to deliver an entry point into the Greater Geelong housing market, with land prices expected to start from $239,000.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow’s sales information event will give prospective buyers early access to lot sizes, release details and builder options.<\/p>\n

Lots range from 179sqm to 350sqm, suited for three-and four-bedroom homes planned to appeal to first-home buyers, families and downsizers seeking a practical, well-connected lifestyle.<\/p>\n

Set within an 18.6-hectare site along Plantation Road, beside Sutcliffe Reserve, Somerley has been designed around connection and livability.<\/p>\n

The community will feature walkable streets, generous green spaces and a planned Central Park positioned as the heart of the neighbourhood, encouraging everyday interaction and a strong sense of belonging.<\/p>\n

Located 9.4km from the Geelong CBD, Somerley combines proximity to Geelong with strong regional connectivity, offering easy access to Melbourne, the Surf Coast and Avalon Airport, alongside established local amenities including schools, shopping centres, open space and public transport.<\/p>\n

Cedar Woods Victorian state manager, James Bovell, said the launch of land sales at Somerley was an opportunity for buyers looking to enter the market in the Geelong market<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Somerley has been carefully planned to provide a well-connected option for people looking to build in Geelong\u2019s north,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Even before launching to market, we\u2019ve seen strong interest from first-home buyers and families who want access to established amenity, transport and employment, without being priced out of the market.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s identity has been shaped in collaboration with Geelong-based creative agency IvyStreet, embedding local insight and applying a distinctly regional lens to the neighbourhood\u2019s design and narrative.<\/p>\n
