“I’ve always been a big Davidson fan, and I loved Steph Curry growing up,” he said. “When it came to fruition, I just couldn’t believe it.”<\/p>\n
Currently playing for Geelong United in the Big V Youth Championship, Davis is averaging 16.8 points, six rebounds and three assists per game.<\/p>\n
He also made his NBL1 debut for Geelong United this month as he continues his transition into senior basketball.<\/p>\n
“I’ll play wherever the coach needs me; I can play the guard or the wing,” Davis said.<\/p>\n
“I pride myself on being a great teammate and making it a fun environment to be around. I believe that is what makes a winning team and player.<\/p>\n
“I have a big emphasis on my shooting and when I feel it’s on, I know I’m unstoppable.”<\/p>\n
Davis will relocate to North Carolina in about two months to begin his collegiate career, with a long-term goal of returning to Australia to play in the NBL.<\/p>\n
“I just want to get a good education, and to play some good basketball,” he said.<\/p>\n
“After that, I’ll see what happens and hopefully I can come back and play in the National Basketball League, which is my major goal.<\/p>\n
“I’m just so stoked to be where I am now, and it’s a huge credit to my family and friends.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
