Geelong Divisional Response Unit detectives have arrested a man after an alleged stolen vehicle was involved in a head-on collision in Lara on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

Police allege an aggravated burglary occurred in Newcomb shortly after 7am, during which an MG was stolen.<\/p>\n

Investigators allege the stolen vehicle was later involved in a collision with another vehicle on Forest Lane, Lara, about 10.45am.<\/p>\n

Police said the Air Wing monitored the vehicle from above as it travelled north along Forest Road at high speed before the crash.<\/p>\n

Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the stolen MG, a 40-year-old man, was taken to hospital for observation under police guard.<\/p>\n

The female driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

A third vehicle was also damaged in the collision. Its male driver was not injured.<\/p>\n

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding both the alleged aggravated burglary and the collision.<\/p>\n
