THE cool tones of the Bellarine were awakened on Sunday as golfers turned out to Clifton Springs Golf Club to raise more than $100,000 for Maddie\u2019s Day On The Purple. <\/p>\n
Established in 2018, Maddie\u2019s Day On The Purple is a celebrity and amateur golf tournament held in support of Maddie Riewoldt\u2019s Vision \u2013 the charity formed in honour of the young woman whose name it bears. <\/p>\n
Former Saint forward (and Maddie\u2019s brother) Nick Riewoldt, former St Kilda and Essendon veteran Brendon Goddard, Geelong Cats star Harry Taylor, comedians Anthony \u2018Lehmo\u2019 Lehmann, Adam Rozenbachs, Ash Williams and Dilruk Jayasinha, celebrity chef Adam D\u2019Sylva and media personalities Tiffany Cherry and Sam Newman were among those in attendance. <\/p>\n
This year\u2019s fundraising total thumped last year\u2019s $61,120 result, with a full year of fundraising by Clifton Springs Golf Club, local businesses, residents and a players\u2019 auction pushing the total into six figures. <\/p>\n
