TORQUAY Colman clinched the Geelong Junior Cricket Association\u2019s Under 15 Cameron T20 final last week, with a 38-run victory over Barwon Heads.<\/p>\n
Torquay Colman coach Mark Patton said he was pleased with all his players’ contributions.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was an all-round team effort to win the grand final, which was very satisfying.\u201d<\/p>\n
Torquay won the toss and chose to bat first.<\/p>\n
Jack Macpherson, Mackie Miller and Cooper Patton all made important contributions to help Torquay Colman to a strong total of 4\/129.<\/p>\n
Torquay Colman\u2019s disciplined bowling then ensured a comfortable victory, as Barwon Heads ended 5\/91.<\/p>\n
All the seven bowlers Torquay used played their part, with all of them finishing with economy rates under seven.<\/p>\n
Patton said he had enjoyed seeing each player improve their game over the season.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach individual has developed their own game really well, particularly in the second half of the season. They\u2019ve improved with every match they\u2019ve played.\u201d<\/p>\n
Patton said with the team contributing to the wealth of young talent at Torquay Tigers Cricket Club\u2019s future, he is optimistic about the club\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
