AS THE Ashbury community continues to grow and thrive, more and more people are realising that Ashbury is an amazing place to live.<\/p>\n

“A vibrant, healthy community takes more than bricks and mortar, it provides residents a sense of belonging and the opportunity to immerse themselves in community groups and associations covering sport, welfare, culture, recreation and many other areas,\u201d Dennis Family Corporation marketing executive Nick Aubrey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled that as the developer of the estate, Dennis Family Corporation is able to offer and support more and more community-based initiatives each year.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dennis Family Corporation recently held a Family Fun Day to launch the newest park spread over two acres located on the corner of Ashbury Boulevard and Flagstaff Street. The park features plenty of seating, mature trees, a children\u2019s play zone and dedicated conservation zone, and is sure to be popular with Ashbury\u2019s residents.<\/p>\n

The event included a host of activities to keep families entertained, including circus artists, roving entertainers, the Geelong Supercats basketball players, pony rides and a petting zoo.<\/p>\n

Food vans and trucks served a wide range of delicious free food included a selection of pizza, gourmet sausages, bottled water, as well as the Grovedale CFA\u2019s popular sausage sizzle.<\/p>\n

Ashbury’s future residents have also shared in various hosted events providing an opportunity to meet future neighbours and learn about building in the estate, all while enjoying delicious offerings of complimentary food and coffee. Residents also received goody bags to take home.<\/p>\n

A highlight was the celebration of the second year of the Community Fund initiative, with 19 not-for-profit organisations from the surrounding local region covering the Armstrong Creek, Grovedale, Mt Duneed and Torquay areas sharing in $15,000 of grants to help make many community programs and projects possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Dennis Family Corporation we take enormous pride in the communities we create and recognise the important role community groups play in connecting people and fostering a sense of belonging. The intention of the initiative is to support and give back to the neighbourhoods we create on an ongoing basis,\u201d Mr Aubrey said.<\/p>\n

The next community event sure to excite and attract many residents, and perhaps even a visit from the Easter Bunny, will be the inaugural Easter Egg Hunt for the local community. Families will be entertained with a variety of different age group supervised chocolate treasure hunts, while onlookers can take the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary hot drink from the mobile coffee van.<\/p>\n

With such a rich sense of community already established, coupled with the perfect location and surrounds, there really is no better time to call Ashbury home.<\/p>\n
