Mr Ince did a 20 minute presentation then took questions from our members,\u201d Mr Rae said.<br \/>\n\u201cHis presentation was really interesting, particularly about the number of visitors to Geelong doubling in the past five years.<br \/>\n\u201cWe had a waiting list of 27 people, plus 114 guests, it was a really popular event. Mr Ince also talked about the need for more accommodation on the Bellarine, which aligns with projects the PBDA is currently working on.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31046\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31046\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31046 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2020\/03\/IMG_4886-Aaron-and-Charloette-Hunter-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"961\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31046\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aaron and Charloette Hunter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A speaker from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bch.org.au\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Bellarine Community Health<\/a> (BCH) spoke about an coming campaign taking place in May to raise awareness for elder abuse.<br \/>\n\u201cAt this stage, we\u2019re unsure if that campaign will go ahead but we had aligned ourselves with BCH and were looking forward to supporting them and the \u2018Turn Port Purple\u2019 campaign,\u201d Mr Rae said.<br \/>\nHe said in light of the corona virus pandemic the group was working on getting a list of local businesses, restaurants and cafes that the town and PBDA could throw their support behind.<br \/>\n\u201cWe\u2019ve never been through something like this before.
