AFL Barwon<\/a>, teams will be limited to groups of 10, and training must be strictly no contact.<\/p>\nTorquay Tigers Football Club committee members met the night following the announcement of the protocols. They then announced today (Thursday, May 21) only teams from Under 17 and up would train.<\/p>\n
Queenscliff Football Netball Club have been very detailed in their response to the protocol, implementing further restrictions of their own to ensure player safety.<\/p>\n
The club has decided to divide their return to training into two phases.<\/p>\n
Similar to Torquay, the first phase will see only the senior teams and the Under 19 sides train.<\/p>\n
The coaches will adapt to the new environment and then pass on their insight to the junior coaches, so the younger players can return with minimal risk.<\/p>\n
The different teams\u2019 coaches will contact their players to provide them with further information.<\/p>\n
Teams playing Under 15 and beneath will hear more in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
AFL Barwon is holding a meeting for club presidents tonight to discuss a range of issues surrounding the recent announcement of training beginning.<\/p>\n
Several clubs are waiting for this meeting to occur before deciding how to proceed.<\/p>\n
Modewarre Football Netball Club are one such club.\u00a0Following AFL Victoria’s announcement they posted on their Facebook \u201cWe feel there is a lot of things that AFL Vic haven\u2019t considered.\u201d<\/p>\n
