DEAKIN University\u2019s ranking continues to rise in the Quacquarelli Symonds<\/a> (QS) Top 50 Under 50 World University Rankings, with the 2021 index jumping from 31st to 26th.
\nThe Top 50 Under 50 rankings, announced last week, come only a month after QS released its World University Rankings in which Deakin was ranked 275th globally, after first entering the top 300 only three years ago.
\nThe QS Top 50 Under 50 ranks universities on several measures including academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, student to faculty ratio, international faculty, and international students.
\nEstablished in 1974 as Victoria\u2019s first regional university, Deakin \u2013 which has campuses at Waurn Ponds and Geelong Waterfront \u2013 has held the title of the top-rated public university in Victoria for overall student experience for 10 consecutive years.
\nDeakin vice-chancellor Professor Iain Martin said the university\u2019s relative youth remained an advantage as its agility and innovative ethos continue to ensure the institution serves the changing learning and career needs of its students and alumni, while working closely with its partners on mutually beneficial projects.
\n\u201cI am pleased that Deakin\u2019s leadership in education, research and innovation has again been recognised on the global stage.
