The two options saw pupils coming to school with walking sticks, grey hair and strings of pearls, 100 sequins sewn onto T-shirts, 100 sticky notes and 100 speed limit signs.<br \/>\nLessons also were focused on the 100 theme. In maths at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torquaycollege.vic.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Torquay College<\/a>, the Preps were learning to count to 100, as well as some adding and subtraction. Prep pupil Zoe said her favourite thing she\u2019s learnt at school this year was to count to 100.<br \/>\nLike all teachers, Torquay College Grade Prep co-ordinator Tim Rahilly has had some adjusting to do during the coronavirus pandemic. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely been a challenge, but it has been amazing to see how the students and parents have adapted,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SOME of the youngest pupils at schools across the Surf Coast region have reached the significant milestone of 100 days of Prep, and celebrated the occasion last week.
