THE Combined Bellarine Community Associations (CBCA) will host a series of community webinars next month to give people across the Bellarine an opportunity to listen to and ask questions of candidates ahead of the council elections.
\nThe webinars will be open to candidates in the City of Greater Geelong’s Bellarine Ward and all candidates in the Borough of Queenscliffe.
\n\u201cThis initiative, during the COVID-19 pandemic, is funded by the CBCA in the interest of people across the Bellarine,\u201d CBCA chair Phil Edwards said.
\nA community webinar for the Borough of Queenscliffe<\/a> will start at 7pm on October 12.
\nMr Edwards said due to the size of the Bellarine, two webinars would be held for the Bellarine Ward.
\n“The first, at 7pm on October 5, will be predominately for the \u2018northern’ Bellarine (generally north of the Bellarine Highway) and the second, at 7pm on October 8, will be for the ‘southern’ Bellarine (generally south of the Bellarine Highway).”
\nAll three webinars will be recorded and made available online a day or two afterwards.
\nAll candidates will be invited by the CBCA to participate in the webinars and will be given the opportunity to have their say followed by a moderated Q&A session.
\nPeople are asked to indicate their interest in joining the webinars by emailing the CBCA at comb.bellarine.community.assoc@gmail.com<\/strong> and indicating which webinar they would like to join. The CBCA will email you the webinar link closer to the webinar date.
