{"id":35841,"date":"2020-10-27T13:56:27","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T03:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=35841"},"modified":"2020-10-27T13:56:27","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T03:56:27","slug":"cats-delist-three-players-after-grand-final-loss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/sport\/cats-delist-three-players-after-grand-final-loss\/","title":{"rendered":"Cats delist three players after grand final loss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Geelong Cats have delisted three players in the wake of their grand final loss to Richmond.<\/p>\n<p>The club has announced that midfielders James Parsons and Jacob Kennerley along with key-forward and Category B rookie Blake Schlensog will not be given contracts for 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Geelong\u2019s general manager of football Simon Lloyd farewelled the trio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJames, Jacob and Blake have all grown as players\u00a0and people\u00a0during their time at the club and we wish them well in their future endeavours,\u201d Lloyd said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce a Geelong player, always a Geelong player and they will always be welcome at the club.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parsons played 35 games for the club since his arrival in 2017.
