Also on the program is American composer Missy Mazzoli\u2019s <em>These Worlds in Us<\/em>, a contemporary piece exploring themes of grief and joy, alongside Sibelius\u2019 grand and sweeping seventh and final symphony.<\/p>\n<p>In April, the MSO and German conductor Johannes Fritzsch will perform a fearless, feminine and forthright program, with award-winning Australian actor Pamela Rabe as narrator, channelling several Shakespeare heroines in Melody E\u00f6tv\u00f6s\u2019 <em>Ruler of the Hive<\/em>. Rabe conveys monologues from <em>Othello<\/em>, <em>Much Ado About Nothing<\/em>, <em>All\u2019s Well That Ends Well<\/em>, <em>Measure for Measure<\/em> and <em>As You Like It<\/em> in this powerful work exploring Shakespeare\u2019s relationship with women as well as the social and political issues that have affected women from the Renaissance to present day.<\/p>\n<p>MSO Concertmaster Sophie Rowell leads the Orchestra through a celebration of J.S Bach with Scottish accordion virtuoso James Crabb as soloist in June.<\/p>\n<p>The coupling of J.S Bach and the work of English composer Sally Beamish will see Crabb play the part of continuo, normally reserved for harpsichord, on the piano accordion.
