<\/p>\nTHIS year\u2019s Summer by the Sea program will be more accessible than ever with the education program moving online.<\/p>\n
Each January school holidays sees Coastcare Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) unite to deliver hundreds of activities along the coastline.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A program that would normally be built around more of a hands-on approach this year, in order to keep Victorians safe amid uncertain times, the program will be offered online, allowing youngsters to learn about the coast and the marine environment from anywhere.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Summer by the Sea will include 11 videos, six podcasts and four live events. The live events will allow the expert volunteers a chance to do a live presentation and give people an opportunity interact and ask questions, registrations can be made online.<\/p>\n
Nonetheless, anyone who lives along the coast or is visiting, are still encouraged to head to the beach and do some hands-on exploring.<\/p>\n
While the program began on January 2, many presentations are showing encores for the live events and there is still plenty of fun activities to get involved with before Summer by the Sea concludes on January 24.<\/p>\n
Adding to the accessibility, the program will also be available in traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic and Vietnamese.<\/p>\n
