LIVE music is coming back to Victoria in a big way this summer, and it will all start in Geelong this Saturday.<\/div>\n
Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday, January 19) for Missy Higgins and Tones And I co-headlining the first leg of the just-announced Sounds Better Together concert series.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Ahead of her sold-out Sidney Myer Music Bowl performance on January 27, Higgins will perform in Geelong at the COVIDSafe Sounds Better Together concert at Mount Duneed Estate.<\/div>\n
Appearing at today\u2019s official launch, Higgins said: \u201cLive music has always been an essential part of life in Victoria so it\u2019s exciting to finally be getting back to playing gigs here again.”:<\/div>\n
“Hopefully these special shows can be a bit of a thank you to everyone for all the sacrifices they made last year.\u201d<\/div>\n
Tones And I\u00a0joins Missy Higgins in co-headlining\u00a0the Geelong leg. Hailing from the Mornington Peninsula, Tones is an international success story, a multi-platinum singer-songwriter amassing a record number of global streams of her hit single “Dance Monkey”, along with follow-up singles “Never Seen The Rain”, new single “Fly Away”, which is climbing charts globally and more (“Dance Monkey” has also taken the crown for the Most Shazamed song of all time).<\/div>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s great to be a part of Sounds Better Together and bring live music back to Victoria\u201d, Tones said.<\/div>\n
Sydney-via-Canowindra artist Gordi joins a huge line-up at Mt Duneed on the weekend. Alongside working her day job as a doctor, the acclaimed singer-songwriter released her second studio album Our Two Skins<\/em> in June last year, garnering critical praise and two J Award nominations (Australian Album of the Year and Artist of the Year).<\/div>\n
\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to be coming together to bring live music back to Victoria, it\u2019s going to be really special,\u201d she said.
\nRounding out Mt Duneed\u2019s program is Warrnambool singer-songwriter Didirri, known for his ethereal vocals, poetic, candid songwriting, and captivating on-stage presence.<\/div>\n
