{"id":37955,"date":"2021-03-05T09:56:02","date_gmt":"2021-03-04T22:56:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/gmhba-stadium-capacity-revealed-more-tickets-released\/"},"modified":"2021-03-05T10:05:48","modified_gmt":"2021-03-04T23:05:48","slug":"gmhba-stadium-capacity-revealed-more-tickets-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/gmhba-stadium-capacity-revealed-more-tickets-released\/","title":{"rendered":"GMHBA Stadium capacity revealed, more tickets released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The AFL has welcomed the state government&#8217;s decision to endorse 50 per cent capacity at Geelong&#8217;s GMHBA Stadium for AFL matches to begin the season.<\/p>\n<p>The new capacity of 18,546 will be commencing from tomorrow (Saturday, March 6) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afl.com.au\/broadcast-guide-community-series\">AAMI Community Series<\/a> match between Geelong Cats and Essendon.<\/p>\n<p>The match was previously sold out, but with an increased capacity limit, new tickets will be released today (Friday, March 5) at noon via Ticketmaster.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no sales at the venue on the night of the match.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the increase capacity, fans will be occupying seats directly behind and in front of each other at the match. Seating configurations have been approved by the Victorian Government.<\/p>\n<p>Gates open at 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>Fans who have already purchased a ticket should ensure they download their mobile tickets before arriving at the venue. Staff at the venue will be on hand to assist.<\/p>\n<p>You can only enter the gate on your ticket.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brownlow Stand = Gate 13<\/li>\n<li>Premiership Stand = Gate 13<\/li>\n<li>Players Stand = Gate 8<\/li>\n<li>Hickey Stand = Gate 5<\/li>\n<li>Ablett Terrace = Gate 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The AFL thanked the Victorian Government &#8220;for their continued support in bringing fans back to the footy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The 2021 AAMI Community Series began last night at Marvel Stadium as St Kilda defeated Carlton in front of 10,228 fans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The AFL has welcomed the state government&#8217;s decision to endorse 50 per cent capacity at Geelong&#8217;s GMHBA Stadium for AFL matches to begin the season.
