The march through the city was just one of many that took place this year following last year\u2019s cancellation.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of veterans began their descent on Malop Street walking 700 metres to Johnston Park for a commemorative service.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s march gave priority to veterans and serving members of the defence force along with smaller services due to the complexity of COVIDSafe planning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/04\/ej1f6Vsw_34311.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANZAC Day attracted thousands of onlookers to Geelong\u2019s city centre as veterans marched through the CBD, while smaller ceremonies took place across the region.
