THE Great Ocean and Otway Classic Ride returned in strong numbers on Saturday.<\/p>\n

About 3,500 registered participants started and finished in Torquay, cycling along one of the world\u2019s most scenic roads.<\/p>\n

Participants could enter a 60km Recreational Ride, 145km Classic Ride or 204km Amy\u2019s Ride, as they cycled past sheer limestone cliffs and the picturesque farmlands of the Otway ranges.<\/p>\n

Riders soaked up the breathtaking coastal scenery and explored the coastal and Otway towns along the way.<\/p>\n

Those in the 145km ride also enjoyed 90km of road closures.<\/p>\n

The Great Ocean and Otway Classic Ride supports the Amy Gillett Foundation, to educate and advocate for safe cycling.<\/p>\n

All participants were encouraged to fundraise for this important cause.<\/p>\n

Individuals and teams raised just over $10,000, which will be used to continue to support the urgent work to stop preventable cyclist deaths.<\/p>\n
