<\/p>\nThose starting or growing a business are being encouraged to take advantage of a range of free and low-cost events of offer at this year’s Geelong Small Business Festival.<\/p>\n
The event, which is already underway, features more than 40 events ranging from how to build great teams remotely, creating a pet-friendly workplace and a masterclass on networking.<\/p>\n
Mayor Stephanie Asher said the events are designed to help locals improve, expand or even start their own business.<\/p>\n
“The festival brings together some of our region’s best business experts and leading industry organisations to share their knowledge and experiences,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It’s a unique opportunity to learn from industry specialists and build professional networks at a critical time for local business.<\/p>\n
“It’s vital that we support local businesses so they’re in the best position to respond to the changes in our economy.”<\/p>\n
She said with local businesses experiencing the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Geelong Small Business Festival was probably the most important yet.<\/p>\n
The sessions included in the festival aim to help entrepreneurs and small business owners to build new skills, gain confidence and learn about how others are overcoming challenges.<\/p>\n
