Cr Peter Murrihy, chair of the Economic Development portfolio, said design was being used to shape Geelong\u2019s future as Australia\u2019s only UNESCO City of Design.<\/p>\n
\u201cCelebrating clever design and creativity is part of our culture,\u201d Cr Murrihy said.<\/p>\n
\u201cA staggering 95 per cent of people who attended this year\u2019s event said they would attend the event again in 2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe theme of belonging highlights the importance of designing with equity, inclusion and diversity in mind.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery design decision we make can include or exclude people in different ways.\u201d<\/p>\n
