AN INTERNATIONAL company with a Geelong presence has teamed up with Samsung to roll out a medical screening tool ideal for frontline workers returning to the office during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
SaniteX Global will also become the only company outside of North America to supply personal protective equipment and related items to New York State agencies for the next five years.<\/p>\n
The company, which has its Australian headquarters at Federal Mills in North Geelong, has developed the online platform re-open.com, which is driving its Vital Monitoring System (VMS) technology being trialled on the Galaxy Watch4.<\/p>\n
With VMS, the user receives an SMS message every morning before work, which links to an observation survey, where they are asked screening questions and questions about their vital symptoms.<\/p>\n
This includes temperature, oxygen saturation (SpO2), heart rate, COVID-19 symptoms including body aches, headaches, or a sore throat, and whether they have been in close contact with anyone who has had, or shown symptoms of having, COVID-19.<\/p>\n
Integrating the solution into Samsung\u2019s Galaxy Watch4 allows users to carry out the questionnaire using their watch, designed to automatically measure SpO2 and heart rate and apply that to the screening questions.<\/p>\n
If the user passes the screening, they will receive a QR code that will grant them access to the workplace.<\/p>\n
VMS was developed in association with Alfred Health and Deakin University\u2019s Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute and the National Trauma Research Institute, and recently launched globally on re-open.com after successfully expanding into the United States market.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe VMS solution has been built through a strong partnership with Deakin University and Alfred Health from the very first conversation we had with Professor Rajesh Vasa (from Deakin),\u201d SaniteX Global and re-open.com founder and chief executive officer David Collard said.<\/p>\n
Helping facilitate US market access on the re-open.com platform drove the collaborative discussion to broaden VMS\u2019s application to health screening.<\/p>\n

He said the contract with New York State to supply items such as respirators, masks, face shields and goggles, gloves, and gowns and coveralls was also an enormous achievement for the company.<\/p>\n
