	{"id":42604,"date":"2021-11-04T11:24:25","date_gmt":"2021-11-04T00:24:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/falls-festival-to-leave-lorne-in-2022\/"},"modified":"2021-11-04T11:24:25","modified_gmt":"2021-11-04T00:24:25","slug":"falls-festival-to-leave-lorne-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/falls-festival-to-leave-lorne-in-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Falls Festival to leave Lorne in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Falls Festival is leaving Lorne and the Surf Coast Shire after 27 years, and will move to a new home just to the north in 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, Falls promoters Paul Piticco and Jessica Ducrou announced the next Victorian edition of the annual music festival would be staged at the Pennyroyal Plains in Murroon, located south of Birregurra; and Falls would not return to Tasmania&#8217;s Marion Bay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a privilege to operate Falls Festival in such beautiful locations and we\u2019re so thankful to the Surf Coast Shire, Sorell Council and supporting stakeholders of Lorne and Marion Bay who have shown Falls Festival such incredible support over the years,&#8221; Mr Paul Piticco and Ms Ducrou said.<\/p>\n<p>We hope that our Lorne and Tassie Falls fam will join us at Pennyroyal Plains. Lorne is where Falls Festival started so we want to give a particularly special shout out to the locals there. You have been instrumental in making the festival all that it is today, and we\u2019ll always be grateful to the community for their long-time support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>About 30 minutes from its previous home in Lorne and less than two hours from Melbourne, Pennyroyal Plains is a never-before-used event location.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe space is truly special.
