{"id":45079,"date":"2022-03-10T04:00:13","date_gmt":"2022-03-09T17:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=45079"},"modified":"2022-03-08T15:51:36","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T04:51:36","slug":"no-bumps-in-the-road-at-geelong-revival-motoring-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/no-bumps-in-the-road-at-geelong-revival-motoring-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"No bumps in the road at Geelong Revival Motoring Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CAR enthusiasts, residents and visitors flocked to the waterfront for the return of the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival over the weekend, despite the turbulent weather.<\/p>\n<p>The festival received 250 race entries and more than 1,000 vehicles on display, with crowds braving the rainy weather to watch a spectacular weekend of incident-free racing.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the quarter mile sprints and the motorshow, there was plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend for everyone.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 477px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/03\/GRMF2_63598.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"269\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From Nissan GTRs to Ford Mustangs, the festival had it all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Additional festival features included the motor expo, National Vintage Fashion Awards, food trucks, entertainment, and other exciting demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>Ford\u2019s Next-Generation Ranger and Next-Generation Everest also made their first-ever public in Australia, to surprise and delight attendees and Ford fans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so glad to be back, we\u2019ve had a fantastic weekend of racing and an amazing showcase on the Geelong waterfront. We\u2019d like to thank all of our supporters and sponsors,\u201d event director Nicholas Heath said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the stars align, we\u2019ll be back in November in our regular spot on the calendar.
