{"id":46265,"date":"2022-04-28T03:00:52","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T17:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=46265"},"modified":"2022-04-28T08:42:22","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T22:42:22","slug":"ling-scores-new-radio-role","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/ling-scores-new-radio-role\/","title":{"rendered":"Ling scores new radio role"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Geelong favourite and Cats legend Cameron Ling is lending his talents to a new team after announcing he has joined the K rock Breakfast crew in a permanent role.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time Premiership player and former captain hits the airwaves from Monday (May 2) alongside fellow hosts Tom Lewis and Lauren \u2018Loggy\u2019 Temuskos.<\/p>\n<p>Tom, who is also the station\u2019s content director, said Ling earned a regular spot on the team after some \u201cbest-on-ground performances\u201d during previous appearances on the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLingy has had a wonderfully long and colourful history with K rock dating back to his early Cats playing days and after playing the long game, his grand plan to sneak on to the show has finally succeeded,\u201d Tom said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d imagine the pride he\u2019ll feel when we turn the mic on for the first time will be something akin to winning the granny in 2011 &#8230; but not quite on the same level as 07.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_46267\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-46267\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-46267 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2022\/04\/0H8A0533-600x380.jpg?_t=1650944059\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-46267\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cameron Ling (centre) will hit the airwaves on Monday in his new role as a co-host of the Tom, Lingy and Loggy breakfast show on K rock.
