<\/p>\nPutting 30 years of friendship and art together, three female artists will have their fine work up in lights as they host the Artistic Friends exhibition which is set to feature across four weeks at the Rachinger Gallery in East Geelong this June.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will highlight the art of Geelong artists Wanda Throckmorton, Sue White and Joy Hyland who have made various forms of expression over their artistic journey.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a collective, we all thought, once we are good enough at our art, we should have an exhibition,\u201d Ms Throckmorton said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe paint various items across many different mediums, some of which include landscapes, abstract, stills and resin.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Throckmorton and co all learned art through classes at the Shearer\u2019s Arms in Aberdeen Street in Geelong, gaining experience from a multitude of tutors along the way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all became such great friends through our classes at the Shearer\u2019s Arms and from there figured we\u2019d love to come together and keep painting into the future,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The trio has had many artworks featured in galleries across Victoria and have gathered quite a portfolio of successful art sales, as well as awards in both the Lorne and Portland art shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just love painting and learning new things through experimentation,\u201d Ms Throckmorton said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to continue showcasing our art and putting women and art in the spotlight.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The ladies will hold an opening night with wine and cheese on June 2 at the Rachinger Gallery and invite anyone to enjoy the festivities.<\/p>\n

Art and specially made resin vases will be on sale throughout the exhibition.<\/p>\n
The gallery officially opens to the public on May 30 and will be open until June 26.<\/p>\n
