Photo: JAMES TAYLOR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Leura Park Estate marked the festivities with a special Shiraz v Syrah Tasting Terroir event that showcased several regions of Australian Shiraz.<\/p>\n<p>At the event on Sunday, the crowd of 20 were guided and inspired by head Leura Park winemaker Darren Burke as he curated a fabulous voyage spanning four states noted for their Shiraz\/Syrah \u2013 Victoria, South Australia, NSW and WA.<\/p>\n<p>Participants were guided by winemaker Darren Burke through a blind tasting voyage featuring six Shiraz wines \u2013 three from the Bellarine\u2019s Leura Park Estate, Jack Rabbit Vineyard and Yes Said the Seal, and the other three from NSW\u2019s Hunter Valley, SA\u2019s Barossa Valley, and WA\u2019s Great Southern.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe event was nothing short of fabulous as participants sipped, discussed, questioned and enjoyed determining the multiple influences (and subsequent end results) in crafting a great Shiraz,\u201d The Sharp Group director of marketing, sales and hospitality Lyndsay Sharp said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been exciting welcoming patrons back for the annual Wine Geelong Winter Shiraz Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best aspect is that this year, the activations felt truly \u2018back to normal\u2019, relaxed and enjoyable from all perspectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Scotchmans Hill, ticketholders were taken through a signature three course winemakers\u2019 lunch with chief winemaker Robin Brockett as well as a masterclass and cellar door event that showcased a range of current and exclusively selected Cellar Reserve wines.<\/p>\n<p>The intimate French inspired three-course lunch was curated by head chef Andrea Brown.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 403px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2022\/07\/IMG-0359_39627.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"403\" height=\"537\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Scotchmans Hill hosted an intimate French inspired three-course lunch.
