You\u2019re growing another person!<\/p>\n<p>Although this doesn\u2019t mean you need to \u201ceat for two\u201d, you should definitely eat a varied and wholesome diet, including plenty of highly nutritious food. The key elements for a healthy pregnancy diet are high protein, high-fibre foods, and plenty of fresh food and vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>A good rule of thumb is to eat all the colours of the rainbow and include a wide variety of food types in your daily diet.<\/p>\n<p>Make a conscious effort to drink around two litres of water per day. Do your best to avoid artificial sweeteners and diet drinks.<\/p>\n<p><em>Supplements<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Many women choose to take a pregnancy multivitamin to complement their dietary intake.
