Artist, author, resilience coach and public speaker Justine Martin has released her first children\u2019s book, which tells a story of diversity and inclusion that everyone can understand.<\/p>\n

The Geelong resident had always wanted to publish her resilience and self-help books and children\u2019s books under her own business, and has made this a reality with the simultaneous launch of Same Same But Different<\/em>\u00a0as well as her own imprint, Morpheus Publishing.<\/p>\n

Same Same But Different<\/em> officially launched at Martin\u2019s Marshall studio on Friday last week \u2013 follows the daily perils of Pansy the dachshund as she meets new and different animals along her journey.<\/p>\n

Pansy helps children understand that we are all different but in so many ways we really are the same.<\/p>\n

The book is Martin’s first children’s book.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Martin had the idea nearly two years ago and began her first draft, and has spent the past 18 months illustrating every image, making every colour choice and finalising every detail to bring to life Pansy \u2013 the hero of the book \u2013 and Pansy\u2019s friends.<\/p>\n

The inspiration for Pansy came from Martin\u2019s own dachshund of the same name.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always wanted to write a children\u2019s book, I just didn\u2019t know where to start,\u201d Martin said.<\/p>\n

When my dachshund Pansy came into my life, I saw how popular she was when people came to visit\u2026 and Pansy, in true puppy style, loved and played with everyone equally; that unconditional love animals ooze.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen my idea came to me \u2013 how can people be more accepting with others, just like animals are with everyone?<\/p>\n

\u201cThe book explores this through the eyes of Pansy, that although we are all different in size, height, colour and race\u2026 we really are all the same.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morpheus Publishing sits alongside the four other businesses Ms Martin runs under the Justine Martin Corporation: JUZT art, Resilience Mindset, Van-Go Decals and Team-Finger Print.<\/p>\n
