Go Cats!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was just some of the bellowing as the Geelong Cats cheer squad loosened up their vocal cords for tomorrow\u2019s (Saturday, September 24) AFL Grand Final outing with some pre-match practice this week.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/svMyTp5atbM\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The cheer squad will be urging their beloved Cats to victory and proudly raising the glistening 2022 Premiership Cup aloft.<\/p>\n<p>Members took to the Surf Coast Highway at Armstrong Mount Duneed, whipping up motorist support alongside the giant GO CATS sign installed by Villawood Properties to spur Geelong to flag glory.<\/p>\n<p>They were in fine fettle as they opened their throats in well-practised unison.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo Catters!\u201d they howled in a rousing demonstration of vocal skills, accompanied by a furious fervour of waving and thrashing flags, banners and scarves.<\/p>\n<p>Dressed in their finest Cats livery, it was an early rush of blood through veins that pump pure Pivotonian blue and white. Appreciative drivers honked their approval.<\/p>\n<p>The cheer squad\u2019s confidence is running high. It\u2019s been a great season to date and these seasoned supporters reckon they can help get their heroes home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe players have told us, even the coach, that our chanting and support has got them over the line in tight games,\u201d chantmaster Steve Joseph said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo our main job, if things aren\u2019t looking good, is to really ramp up the chants as loud as we can and fire them up. We know we can get the whole stadium behind us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe players appreciate it, too. They come up to us every game, they sign footies for the kids and it\u2019s great that we get to see them.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cLET&#8217;S go!
