{"id":64971,"date":"2023-02-04T04:00:19","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T17:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/?p=64971"},"modified":"2023-02-01T16:47:10","modified_gmt":"2023-02-01T05:47:10","slug":"dragons-go-pink-for-mcgrath-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/geelongtimes\/news\/dragons-go-pink-for-mcgrath-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Dragons go pink for McGrath Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HAMLYN Park was awash with pink as Bell Park Cricket Club committed to its annual breast cancer fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>Bell Park Dragons president Rodney Brown said the club&#8217;s Pink Stumps Day was terrific event involving both the women&#8217;s side and men&#8217;s Second XI playing games over the weekend, leading into a major raffle raising funds for the McGrath Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It all began Saturday where all five men&#8217;s senior sides recorded wins, and our Second XI had pink caps for the special occasion against Modewarre,&#8221; Mr Brown said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 541px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/02\/325977992_918343292_30300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"541\" height=\"406\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bell Park&#8217;s Second XI commenced the weekend with a win over Modewarre.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;Then the women&#8217;s game took place against Bell Post Hill early Sunday morning at 10am, really setting the scene for our major raffle following that.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The women&#8217;s side didn&#8217;t manage to secure the win, but they all had a sensational time playing in front of a bumper crowd.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 535px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/21\/2023\/02\/326454622_858186451_96539.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"535\" height=\"406\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Each Dragons side playing at home donned pink caps in recognition of the McGrath Foundation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;It was a beautiful afternoon for it. A real family atmosphere with kids everywhere.
