Legendary singer-songwriter Sting has returned to Australia for the first time in nearly seven years, and is bringing his critically acclaimed My Songs tour to Geelong tomorrow (Saturday, February 25).<\/p>\n

Part of the A Day on the Green concert series, My Songs is an exuberant and dynamic show with Sting accompanied by an electric rock ensemble and featuring his most beloved songs, written throughout the 17-time Grammy Award winner’s illustrious career both with The Police and as a solo artist.<\/p>\n

Fans at Mt Duneed Estate can expect to hear “Englishman In New York”, “Every Breath You Take”, “Roxanne”, “Message In A Bottle” and many more.<\/p>\n

Acclaimed singer-songwriter James Reyne will join the line-up at the A Day on the Green events, and special guest Joe Sumner is also on board for his first Australian solo tour.<\/p>\n

Throughout his illustrious career, Sting has sold more than 100 million albums from his combined work with The Police and as a solo artist, including five Australian number one albums and 20 Australian Top 50 singles.<\/p>\n

Sting is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, composer, singer, songwriter, actor, author and activist, a consummate musical craftsman and has written some of the most memorable songs of the past four decades.<\/p>\n

Following a sold out six-night residency at the London Palladium, My Songs was hailed “a masterclass” by UK’s The Times, with Sting described as “remaining an undeniably skilled performer with a gold-plated back catalogue”.<\/p>\n

Reyne’s songs have provided the soundtrack to endless Australian summers. Distinctly Australian, Reyne’s hits on his own and with Australian Crawl include “Reckless”, “The Boys Light Up”, “Beautiful People”, “Lakeside”, “Daughters Of The Northern Coast”, “Fall Of Rome”, “Hammerhead”, “Motor’s Too Fast” and “Slave”. His latest release, Toon Town Lullaby, is his 12th solo studio album.<\/p>\n

A talented singer and songwriter, Sumner – Sting’s eldest son – learnt to play guitar and drums when he was a teenager and formed rock trio Fiction Plane, which released four studio albums and opened during The Police’s 2007 worldwide reunion tour. Sumner’s recent singles include “You You You” and “Looking For Me, Looking For You” from coming debut solo album Sunshine In The Night, due for release in 2023.<\/p>\n
